WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU COMBINE A WRITER, A PERFORMER, AND A HOPELESS ROMANTIC?
First of all, you get the set up for a terrible joke.
But you also get me, an alternative celebrant in Bristol, Somerset and the surrounding area.
Not alternative because my ceremonies are particularly weird and wacky. Although I’m definitely up for that.
Alternative because I want to help you do things your way, celebrating a life, a family or your love authentically.

I trained as a celebrant in 2025, after five years of working as a copywriter.
I’d gone straight from a Creative Writing degree into a job in the marketing industry. But when I took a break from my 9 to 5, I realised that I wanted a career where I got to spend time with people and make a meaningful difference.
After a year filled with weddings and funerals, I was inspired by the ceremonies I had attended that felt personal, creative and unique. With an arsenal of writing skills, a lot of experience in front of an audience, and endless curiosity about other people, I decided that I had plenty to offer as a celebrant.
I completed my celebrant training with the International College of Professional Celebrants, gaining an NOCN Level 3 certificate in Civil Celebrancy in the UK. This prepared me for planning and delivering a wide range of different ceremonies, including weddings, funerals, vow renewals and baby namings.

My values
My ceremonies celebrate your story, your identity, and what matters the most to you.
This means focusing on how you’d like to honour a milestone in your life, instead of following trends or feeling pressured by expectations. It means prioritising inclusivity so that you and the people you care about can show up as their true selves. And it means creating a celebration of love, life or a family that is uniquely and unmistakably yours.

I’m a creative person down to my core, and I bring this energy to every stage of being your celebrant.
This means meeting every weird and wacky suggestion with a “hell yes”, or at least a “we can certainly try”. It means that I’ll help you think outside the box when deciding how you want to celebrate. And it means that you’ll end up with a ceremony that you and your guests will remember forever.
I believe that every milestone deserves a celebration where joy and connection are embedded throughout.
That’s not to say that grief or reflection won’t be welcome, where they’re relevant. But it’s why I create ceremonies with lots of heart, where big feelings are always welcome and expressions of love are creatively shared. It’s also why you’ll always find me wearing at least one piece of yellow clothing, to keep that joy with me at all times.

I work with folks from all beliefs and backgrounds, and want to ensure that you feel celebrated in a space designed to honour and appreciate you.
This means that you’ll always be met with respect and acceptance. It means that you can trust me to recognise all aspects of your identity and deliver a ceremony that honours them with care. It’s why I’m committed to offering my celebrant services to everyone, but especially those who are queer, lead alternative lifestyles, or just want to do things unconventionally.
During important or transformative periods of your life, you want clarity, honestly, and a celebrant you can rely on.
For all my talk of creativity, I’m also exceptionally organised, great at sticking to a schedule, and very speedy at replying to messages. Once we start working together, you can rest assured that your ceremony is in the hands of a former academic-overachiever who will keep you updated and won’t let you down.

I’m originally from West Yorkshire, where I lived for the first eighteen years of my life. I studied in Lancaster, and then moved down to Bristol where I now live with my partner in Bedminster.
Whilst I often work with people from Bristol and the surrounding South West, I’m by no means limited to these places. If you’re looking for a celebrant who can deliver a creative and meaningful celebration, then don’t let location stop you from getting in touch.
I’m honoured to be a listed supplier on the Rebel Love Club directory.
Not only does this represent that my celebrant services are open to everyone, no matter your gender or sexuality, but it also demonstrates my commitment to standing up for LGBTQ+ rights and freedom and continually ensuring that my work is inclusive.
If you’re a queer person, couple, or family looking for a celebrant, know that you’re safe with me.
When you’re planning a wedding or putting together a funeral, it’s very easy to get caught up in expectations of what you should include. Not only can this make the whole process unpleasant, but you can also end up with an event that you don’t actually enjoy, because it doesn’t feel like the right fit.
The beauty of working with a celebrant is that there really isn’t a rulebook. Your preferences are my priority, and there are very few limitations on the ways that I can put together your perfect ceremony.
As a queer person, I’m particularly open to leading celebrations of relationships, families and lifestyles that aren’t always traditional. No matter who you are and what you want to commemorate, my work is inclusive, accessible, and always judgement-free.
Whether you’re getting married, remembering a loved one who has passed, or just celebrating a personal or family milestone, I want to help you celebrate in a way that feels authentic to you.
